Why rent from us?

The warm, round acoustic of St. George's makes it an ideal venue for chamber, choir and traditional music ensembles. The acoustic merits are largely due to the absence of pillars and the expansive double-beamed hammer roof - the second largest in the world, surpassed only by Westminster Abbey.

The church can host approximately 300 people, features cushioned pews and a raised sanctuary that can be used as a stage. A small library functions as a green room for small ensembles. For larger groups, there's a conference room.

We offer discounts for students, emerging artists, and returning ensembles. Other perks include a free three-hour rehearsal block during church opening hours after booking.

Rehearsal rate: $40/hr

Administration and Manager presence fee $75
Insurance: $27.25 Only if the ensemble is not otherwise insured through a registered insurance company

Instrument rental piano, organ $50
Advertising space $25/wk

Extra security If 150+ people in attendance $12.50/hr
Additional green room $25

 

PERKS

Emerging artist concert rate: $65/hr
Each concert booking includes three free rehearsal hours when the church is open, from 9am - 4pm.
