The Youth is our Future
|
Ministry to young people is a very important one, because our youth is an integral part of our Christian community. We offer activities and programs suited to the needs of our youth according to their age. |
|
Church School Church School is available every Sunday (except on a Family Eucharist Sunday) during the 10:30 a.m. Service. For children aged 4 and up.
Activities for Teenagers and Young Adults Both in our Parish and elsewhere in our diocese, there are activities that target particularly our teenagers and young adults.
Ministry to young people is a very important one,
because youth is the future of our Church. We offer activities and
programs suited to the needs of our youth according to their age.
These activities are an opportunity to learn about the faith at a
more "advanced level". Monthly social events are held and young
people attend Crossroads. For more information or to get involved,
speak to Bob Bergner via the
Church Office
(514 866-7113). |
The typical 10:30 Sunday service starts with a childrens' address where the Rector or one of our lay readers addresses our children. Here an address given by Barbara Hill-Bissonnette. |
|
A Role in Organising and Supporting Ministries Music ministry is an important one.
Amongst other things, we have a Praise Team that fills in the musical
program of our Family Eucharist and some of our youth are leaders during the
musical part of
Sunday School.
Crossroads Crossroads is a diocese-wide organisation.
Crossroads services are held at St. George’s on the third Sunday of the
month, and our youth help organise this service.
The Family Service There is a Family Service once a month when all members of families worship together in the church. There is no Church School on these Sundays. |
