Music has always played an important role in liturgy. And St. George's is no exception. Often times traditional, sometimes modern, music accompanies and enriches our celebrations, keeps us in a meditative mood, and helps us pray and praise God.
There are three groups. Depending on what you like and your abilities, we invite you to join one of these groups.
St. George’s Choir is a mixed ensemble which sings traditional hymns. Their repertoire includes the ordinary of the Eucharist and of the Morning Prayer, as well as motets, religious hymns, plainchant, etc. This choir sings most Sundays at the 10:30 service, as well as on holy days, concerts and other special events..
The choir is always looking for new members. Sounds interesting? Please visit this page.
The Tyndale-St. George’s Youth Choir sings at our monthly family inter-generational services. Its repertoire is made of traditional and modern hymns, Gospel music and other lively music.
You are between 7 and 15 years old and want to sing? Please visit this page.
The Praise Team is a group that sings modern music at the family eucharists.
You play guitar, piano or another instrument, or you have a good voice and want to sing? Please visit this page.
