This page offers an easy way for our staff and volunteers to access their e-mail from the web.
Further down, you will find below detailed instructions to help you configure your e-mail reader.

Note. You will need a St. George’s e-mail account and a password to go any further.

The Web Interface

Note: Browsers are Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla and Opera. They read web pages.

How to Proceed

1. A dialogue box will appear, entitled more or less the following way:
Enter User Name and Password for "Webmail" at St-Georges.org, or
Saisir le nom et le mot de passe pour "Webmail" à St-Georges.org.

–  Enter the following information (without quotes)
–  Username: 'yourmailbox@st-georges.org' (all lowecase)
–  Password: 'yourpassword' (it is case-sensitive)

Note : If you are using a public computer, do not check "Remember Password".

2. Select the web interface you prefer.
I find Squirrel Mail more user-friendly.

3. When you are finished, don't forget to sign out!

Tip

–  If you want to change your password, do so at step 2 (above).

Configuring your e-mail Reader

On your main computer (ex. at home if you generally read your mail at home), most people prefer to read their e-mail with an e-mail reader such as Mozilla, Firefox, Outlook Express, Outlook, etc.

If you know how to set up your e-mail reader, just read the following section. If you don't know how to do it, also read the appropriate tutorial which is listed further down. This job should be done once for all.

Account Information

You will need to enter the following data:

For Incoming Mail (POP)

For Outgoing Mail (SMTP) : Option 1, using your ISP's account

If you already have an e-mail account set up on your computer, you might as well use it.

–  With Netscape, Mozilla and Mozilla Thunderbird, that's already what happens by default, so you don't have anything to do.

–  With Outlook Express and Outlook, you will need to copy the SMTP (outgoing server) information that you have with your main account.

For Outgoing Mail (SMTP): Option 2, using St. George's account

This is what you should do if you do NOT have a personal e-mail account with your own ISP. And even if you do, you may also wish to use St. George's account.

Tip

–  If you read your mail from more than one computer, I suggest that in the "Account Properties", you set the software to "leave messages on the server for 2 days", so that they aren't removed from the server as soon as you read them. That way, you will be able to download them on one computer (at home, for example), then on another one (at work).
