St. George’s has an extensive Christian Library with almost 500 books. We hope you will take this opportunity to read some very good books and deepen your relationship with our Lord.

What We Have

There is a wide variety of religious content. Included are some in French, a children’s section, there are now a few videotapes, and audiotapes will soon follow. From Bibles to Biographies, and in between, other categories include Christian beliefs, Devotional literature, Christian living and witness, works in the church and its history, other denominations and lots more.

The classification is a simplified version of the Dewey Decimal System, mainly in the 200 Religion series. Lists of the books by Call (shelf) number, by Title, and by Author are in a binder to assist you. A supplementary list will occasionally be printed to note the latest arrivals.

Borrowing Books

Borrowing books is essentially a self-service system.

–  When you borrow a book, you are asked to write your name and telephone number on the card in the back of the book and drop it in the small box.

–  When you return the book, simply place the book in the basket.

Donations

Donations of new or used books and tapes, of Christian content, are very welcome, as are offerings directed to the Library Fund. The latter will be used for purchases of new books and library maintenance.

Fiction and self-help books are not included. When a donated book is not suitable for the Church Library, it is given to the Church Boutique to be sold in their book section.
